  Left with a handful of goodies and they were all finished before we got home! This is a great place and all the goods are home made! There's a fridge full of take home soup and pies and cakes! Also - it's all on a honor system service. Pick what you want and pay, make your own change from the box.

  Just like mom's is the best country bakery on the island. They consistently have delicious breads, muffins, cookies, pies and cakes. In addition you can find take and bake pies, pizza dough, eggs and an assortment of seasonal selections. The setting is homey and quaint with a view of the Denman island ferry. During the right time of year you may see a whale migration passing through or a cruise ship heading up to Alaska. On nice spring and summer days you may be lucky enough to get an acoustic guitar serenade from Bev's (mom) husband Franc. These are lovely people, you won't find better service or goodies anywhere. Most definitely worth the stop. Cheers!

  Great old school experience. Pick up your tasty pie from the fridge and leave the money in the drawer. I stop in every time I go to town.
